Long-Term Capacity Agreements
The Grain LNG terminal is securing its long-term future with major capacity agreements. A notable highlight is the 16-year terminal use agreement with Venture Global, providing access to 3 million tonnes per annum of LNG storage and regasification capacity starting in 2029. This long-term partnership will further solidify the terminal's position in supporting the UK's energy needs.
Additionally, Grain LNG recently launched an auction offering 375 GWh/d (approximately 9 million tonnes per annum) of existing capacity, with contracts commencing from January 2029.
This auction aims to attract global LNG suppliers and strengthen the terminal's role in the global energy market.
These strategic expansions and capacity agreements ensure that Grain LNG remains a cornerstone of the UK’s energy infrastructure for decades to come.
